Brand guide
How to write and edit your brand guide, the instructions the AI follows on every request.
The brand guide is a written set of instructions about your brand: how you sound, how things should look, and rules to follow. The AI reads it on every request and follows it when it designs and writes for your site.
Your colors and fonts are set in Colors and Fonts. The brand guide explains how to use them, and everything else that can't be set with a control.

What to put in it
An empty brand guide suggests these sections:
- Brand Voice: tone, personality, writing style
- Visual Style: rounded vs sharp, minimal vs decorative
- Color Usage: when to use primary, accent, neutral
- Typography: heading styles, body text preferences
- Layout Patterns: max widths, spacing feel, grid preferences
- Do / Don't: specific rules the AI should follow
Example
## Brand Voice
- Friendly and plain-spoken. Short sentences.
- Say "you", not "customers". No exclamation marks.
## Visual Style
- Lots of white space. Rounded corners on cards and buttons.
- Photos of real food, never illustrations.
## Color Usage
- Primary for buttons and links only.
- Accent only for small highlights, never large backgrounds.
## Do / Don't
- Do keep headlines under 8 words.
- Don't use stock photos of people.
Let the AI add to it
Ask the AI to "remember" a decision, for example Remember that buttons are always fully rounded. It suggests adding it to the brand guide. You can also ask it to write a first draft: Write a brand guide for my site based on how it looks now.
Tips
- Be specific. "Buttons are fully rounded" works better than "make it modern".
- Keep it short. The guide is part of every request, so long guides make each request a little slower and costlier.
- The brand guide is for design and writing preferences. To have the AI do something, ask in the chat.
