Verify your site with Google and Bing

Add Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools verification codes so you can prove you own your site.

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show how your site performs in search. Before they show you anything, they ask you to prove you own the site. Starjay supports their HTML tag (meta tag) method.

Your site must be published at the address you're verifying.

    1. 01

Get the code from the search engine

In Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, add your site's address and choose the HTML tag verification method. You get a tag like <meta name="google-site-verification" content="abc123…" />. Copy only the value inside content="…".

    2. 02

      Open the verification settings

In Starjay, choose SEO from the view menu, then Indexing. Scroll to Search Console Verification.

    3. 03

      Paste the code

Paste the value into the Google or Bing row, then click away from the field. The status changes to Code saved.

    4. 04

      Publish

Publish your site so the code is on the live pages.

    5. 05

      Finish in the search engine

Go back to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools and click Verify.
