    Verify notification emails

Shows how to verify an email address so it can receive form notifications.

Before Starjay emails form submissions to an address, someone with access to that inbox must confirm it. This stops forms from sending email to people who didn't ask for it.

    Verify an address

    1. 01

      Open the form

Click Forms in the left rail, open the Definitions tab and click the form.

    2. 02

      Find the address

Under Destinations, each email address shows its status: unverified, pending or verified.

    3. 03

      Send a code

Click verify. Starjay emails a 6-digit code to the address. If you just added the address and saved, a code is already on its way.

    4. 04

      Enter the code

Type the code and click Confirm, or press Enter. The status changes to verified.

If the code doesn't arrive or doesn't work

    • Click resend to get a new code. For an address that's pending, click enter code to type a code you already have.
    • Codes expire after 15 minutes. If you see "Code expired. Request a new one.", click resend.
    • After several wrong codes you see "Too many attempts. Request a new code."
    • Check the spam folder of the inbox.

    Limits and scope

    • A site can have up to 5 verified addresses. If you need another, revoke one you no longer use.
    • Verification is per site. Once an address is verified, every form on that site can email it.

    Stop emails to an address

Click revoke next to a verified address. It goes back to unverified and stops receiving emails until it's verified again. To stop a form emailing an address at all, remove the email destination. See Where submissions go.
