Your free Starjay address
Explains your site's free starjay.app address, how to change it and the rules for the name.
Every site gets a free address in the form yourname.starjay.app. It works as soon as you publish, with HTTPS included. There's no DNS to set up.
You'll find it in the Publish panel under Connected Domains. The name part is based on your site's name when you created it, and you can change it.
Change your Starjay address
- 01
Open the address menu
In the Publish panel, under Connected Domains, click ⋯ next to your Starjay address, then Change URL.
- 02
Type the new name
Type the part before
.starjay.app. Starjay checks whether it's free as you type and shows ✓ Available or why it can't be used. - 03
Save
Click the check mark or press Enter. Press Esc or click X to cancel.
- 04
Republish if the site is live
If the site is already published, the new address takes effect on your next publish.
Until you republish, the panel shows both addresses: the new one marked as going live on the next publish, and the current one marked for removal. After the publish, the old address stops working; visitors who use it don't get sent to the new one. To keep your current address, open ⋯ and click Revert URL change before you republish.
If the site has never been published, the change is immediate.
