View the code
How to see the code behind the page or your selection in the read-only Code panel.
Every Starjay site is a standard Astro and Tailwind project. The Code panel shows you the code behind what you're looking at. It's read-only.
- 01
Open the Code panel
Click Code at the bottom of the left icon rail.
- 02
Pick what to look at
With nothing selected, the panel shows the code of the whole page. Select something on the canvas to see its code instead.
- 03
Switch the level
When something is selected, tabs at the top let you switch between Element (just the selected element), Component (the whole component it belongs to) and Page (the page file).
The header shows the name of the page or component, and the line number of your selection (for example L24). The selected line is highlighted and scrolled into view. Hovering over the canvas highlights the matching lines.
Change the code
You can't type in the Code panel. To change code:
- Ask the AI in the editor. Paste or describe the part you want changed.
- Or connect your own AI app, such as Claude Code, which can read and edit your site's files. See Overview.
