    How credits work

    What AI credits are, what uses them, when they refill, and where to see your usage.

    Credits are how Starjay measures use. Each workspace has one pool of credits shared by every site and every member.

    What uses credits

    • AI requests. Every request to Starjay's AI, plus AI helpers such as tagging images, writing sample content and rebuilding from another site's address. The AI panel shows what each request cost. See Credits for AI.
    • Server time. While a site is open for editing, the editing environment behind it runs and uses credits, about 36 credits per hour. It runs while you, a member or a connected AI app works on the site, and stops on its own a while after the work stops.

    Your published sites never use credits. Visitors don't cost credits. Page views have their own allowance; see Page view allowance.

    Credit packs add to your plan's credits. For example, Pro with two packs gives 30,000 credits a month. See Buy more credits.

    When credits refill

    Credits refill every month. On Free, they refill at the start of each calendar month. On Pro, they refill on your billing date each month, including on a yearly plan.

    Unused credits don't carry over. Each refill starts from your full monthly amount.

    Where to see your credits

    Where What it shows
    Subscriptions > AI credits used this billing period Credits used out of this period's total, how many are left, the split between AI requests and Server time, and the date your allowance refills.
    Settings > Spend Credits used, broken down By site and By user, with AI credits, Server credits, Server time, Sessions, Calls, Credits per session and Credits per call. Choose a Range.
    Settings > Usage AI activity in detail (calls and input, output and cached text amounts) By site and By user. Choose a Range: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or All time.

    If a request is still running, part of your balance can show as reserved. Reserved credits free up when the request finishes.
