Each field also has an ID, shown in the ID column. The AI sets it when it creates the field. Notification emails and exports use it to identify the field.

Show a field only for certain answers

A field can appear only when another field has a certain answer. For example, show "Please describe" only when "How did you hear about us?" is "Other".

Ask the AI to set this up. The Forms panel shows the condition under the field, for example "Shown when source = other", but can't change it.

    The rules:

    • The field that decides must be a select, radio or checkbox field.
    • Each field can have one condition: equals one answer, or is one of several answers.
    • A field that's shown only for certain answers can't itself decide whether another field is shown. There are no chains of conditions.

For forms where whole groups of questions differ, such as separate forms for businesses and homes, ask the AI for two pages with a form each.
