Deletes the AI proposes
Why the AI asks before deleting CMS content, and how the Delete and Keep card works.
Deleting CMS content is permanent once you save, and your collections often hold work you can't easily recreate. So the AI never deletes CMS content itself. It asks you.
The delete card
When you ask the AI to remove a collection or items, or it decides they should go, a card appears in the chat, for example:
Delete "Spring sale" from Blog posts?
Nothing is deleted until you click Delete. You can undo it with Reject.
The card lists up to five of the items, and how many more there are. For a whole collection, it says how many items the collection has.
- Click Delete to delete them.
- Click Keep to leave them.
Afterwards the card shows what you chose, such as Deleted "Spring sale" from Blog posts or Kept the Authors collection and its 4 items. The AI is told your choice on its next request.
If the AI is still working when you click, you see Wait until the AI finishes, then try again.
Deleting inside a session can still be undone
The delete is part of the current AI session. Until you Save, clicking Reject brings the deleted content back.
Some deletes are refused
A collection can't be deleted while a page still shows it, or while another collection links to it. The AI tells you what's in the way. Ask it to remove those pages or links first.
Other things the AI removes
Pages and site files the AI removes are covered by the session like any other change: step back or Reject to bring them back. A page the AI marks for deletion stays on your live site until your next publish. See Delete and restore a page.
