    Use your own AI

    Start working on a site

Tell your connected AI which Starjay site to work on, using the starter prompt from the editor.

Your connection covers all your sites, so your AI needs to know which one you mean. The editor gives you a ready-made prompt with the site's name and ID.

    1. 01

Open the site in the editor

Open the site from your dashboard. Keep the editor open while your AI works. Your AI can only work on a site while its editor is running.

    2. 02

      Open the connect dialog

In the AI panel, click Use Claude or Codex. The Work on this site with an AI agent dialog opens.

    3. 03

      Go to the starter prompt

If you've connected before, the dialog opens on Start on this site. Otherwise finish Connect Starjay, then click I’ve connected.

    4. 04

      Copy the prompt

Under Copy and paste this into your AI agent, click the copy button. The prompt looks like this:

Use the starjay MCP connection to work on my Starjay site named “Bakery” (site ID: 0APMiuxGY2yB4xJm5BilJ).

    5. 05

Paste it and describe your change

Paste the prompt into your AI app, then describe what you want to change.

    Naming the site yourself

You can also ask your AI to list your sites. It calls list_sites and sees each site's name, workspace and ID. Naming the site exactly avoids mix-ups when two sites have similar names.
