    Build with AI

    Generate images

How to ask the AI to create an image for your site, what quality options exist, the limits, and what it costs.

The AI can create new images for your site, such as hero backgrounds, illustrations or product scenes. Each image is added to your image library and placed where you asked.

    1. 01

Describe the image and where it goes

For example: Generate a wide hero image of a sunlit bakery counter with fresh bread, warm tones, no people, and use it as the homepage hero background.

    2. 02

      Wait for it

Image generation can take a while, sometimes a few minutes at higher quality. The chat shows Generated and the image name, with a thumbnail, when it's done. Click the thumbnail to see it full size.

    3. 03

      Review it on the canvas

If you don't like it, ask for changes ("make it brighter, more space on the left for the headline") or step back to the previous version.

    What you can ask for

    • Quality: low, medium or high. If you don't say, the quality is chosen automatically. Low is quick and cheap and fine for drafts. High costs much more.
    • Size and shape: say what it's for ("a square product shot", "a wide banner"). Images can be up to 3,840 pixels on the longest side, and no more than three times as wide as they are tall (or the other way round).
    • Transparent background: ask for one if you need a cut-out, such as a logo-style illustration. These are saved as PNG.

    Where the image goes

The image is added to your image library, named after its description, with tags and alt text. You can rename it, change its alt text, or reuse it anywhere, like any other image.

    Limits

    Limit
Images per hour, per site 20
Images per day, per site 60

When you reach a limit, the AI tells you. Try again later.

Some requests are refused by the image generator's safety checks. The AI may rephrase the request once, or ask you how to proceed.

    Credits

The cost depends on the image's size and quality. Higher quality costs much more than low quality. As a guide:

    Image Low Medium High
    Square (1024 × 1024) about 12 credits about 105 credits about 420 credits
    Wide (1536 × 1024) about 10 credits about 80 credits about 330 credits

The exact amount is included in the credits shown on the finished request, together with the AI's own work. See Credits for AI.
