    Credits for AI

What uses credits when you work with the AI, where to see what each request cost, and what happens when you run out.

AI work is paid for with credits from your workspace's shared pool. Costs are always shown in credits.

    What uses credits

    • AI requests in the chat. The cost depends on the model, how much the AI reads and writes, and how full its memory is.
    • Opening a reference page when you give the AI a web address.
    • Generating images. See Generate images.
    • Dark Magic, when it restyles inserted elements and sections to fit your brand. See Dark Magic.
    • Smaller AI helpers, such as automatic tags and alt text for uploaded images, Generate with AI for page SEO, sample CMS items, and filling in missing required CMS fields.

Credits are also spent on editing time. See How credits work.

    Where you see the cost

Each finished request shows how long it took and how many credits it used, for example 42 credits (or <1 credit). This total includes everything the request did, such as reference pages and generated images.

For your workspace's overall usage, see How credits work.

    Ways to use fewer credits

    • Use GPT-6 Luna for everyday edits. It uses far fewer credits per request than the Pro models. See Choose an AI model.
    • Keep the AI's memory lean: clear it when you move to a new task.
    • Make small, specific requests.
    • Generate images at low quality while you're exploring.
    • Make simple changes yourself on the canvas or in the Style panel. They don't involve the AI.

    When you run out

If your workspace runs out of credits, the AI panel shows AI credits used up with a Manage credits link, and the send button is unavailable (Out of AI credits).

    • Before you send: Add credits to keep using AI.
    • If it happens during a request: The AI stopped partway through. Changes made so far are kept. Add credits to continue.

Changes the AI already made stay in your session. You can still Save or Reject them, edit your site by hand, and your published site keeps working.

Sometimes you see Credits are reserved instead. That means credits are set aside for a request that's still running, and they free up when it finishes.

    The daily limit

To protect your workspace from runaway use, AI requests have a daily limit. If you reach it, you see Daily AI limit reached for your workspace. with the time it resets.
