Where submissions go
Shows how to save submissions, email them to you, and send them to another service with a webhook.
Each form has Destinations: the places a submission goes when a visitor sends it. To change them, open the form in the Forms panel (Definitions tab) and click Edit next to Destinations.
Saved
"All submissions are saved and viewable in the Submissions tab." This is on for every form, and it's how you read and export submissions. See Read and export submissions.
"This address will receive an email each time someone submits this form."
- 01
Add the address
Click + email and enter the address.
- 02
Save
Click Save. If the address isn't verified yet, Starjay sends it a code and you see "Form saved. Verification email sent to …".
- 03
Verify it
Enter the 6-digit code. See Verify notification emails.
Until the address is verified, no emails are sent to it. Submissions are still saved.
Each email:
- Has the subject "New submission: " followed by the form name. You can ask the AI for a different subject, which can include answers from the form, or for a reply-to address.
- Lists every field by its label, with the visitor's answer.
- Lists uploaded files by name and size, with a link to view them in Starjay.
Webhook
"Send submission data to an external URL for integrations." Use a webhook to send submissions to another service, such as a spreadsheet tool, a CRM or an automation service.
- 01
Add the webhook
Click + webhook and paste the address the other service gave you.
- 02
Test it
Click test. Starjay sends a sample submission and shows the result, such as "Success (HTTP 200)".
- 03
Save
Click Save.
Webhook rules:
- The address must start with
https://. Addresses on private networks aren't allowed. - Each submission is sent as JSON with
formId,formName, fields(the answers, by field ID) andsubmittedAt. The test also includes"_test": true, with sample answers. - Starjay can't add a password, token or signature to webhook requests.
To remove an email or webhook destination, click × next to it while editing, then Save.
Destination changes reach your live site on your next site publish.
