    Permissions and safety

What a connected AI can and can't do with your Starjay account, and how to disconnect it.

What a connected AI can do

When you sign in, your AI app acts as you. It can work on every site in every workspace you belong to, including:

    • Read all of a site's files, pages, components, colors, fonts, CMS content, images, forms, SEO settings, redirects and checkpoint list.
    • Change pages, components, colors, fonts, the brand guide, header and footer, CMS collections and items, images and alt text, forms, SEO, redirects and page publish states.
    • Take screenshots of your unpublished site and of other public websites.
    • Publish a site, after you approve it.

    Safeguards

    • Publishing always asks you first. Before every publish, your AI must ask you in the conversation, name the site, and wait for your yes. Starjay refuses a publish that isn't marked as approved.
    • Marking a page for deletion asks you first, the same way.
    • Deleting CMS content needs your click. When your AI asks to delete a collection or items, Starjay asks you, and nothing is deleted unless you confirm.
    • Every change is reviewable. Changes land in an AI session that you Save or Reject in the editor. A checkpoint is taken before each AI session starts.
    • You can stop it at any time with Take back control in the editor.

What a connected AI can't do

    • Save or Reject an AI session.
    • Publish while an AI session is waiting for Save or Reject.
    • Connect, change or disconnect custom domains.
    • Restore a checkpoint.
    • Manage billing, plans or members.
    • Add secrets or API keys to your site.

    Disconnecting

To disconnect, remove the starjay server or connector in your AI app. In Claude Code, run claude mcp remove starjay.
