    Review on your phone

    The phone review screen

How to watch an AI work on your site, review its versions, Save or Reject, and publish from a phone.

On a phone, Starjay opens a simpler screen made for reviewing work rather than editing. It's built for when a connected AI app, such as Claude, is working on your site and you want to check its work away from your computer.

You get the phone screen automatically on a phone. Tablets and computers get the full editor.

What you can do on a phone

    • Watch an AI work on your site.
    • Preview the site and click through its pages.
    • Step through the session's versions.
    • Save or Reject the session.
    • Publish.
    • Create a site and switch workspaces.

What you can't do on a phone

    • Edit the site yourself: no canvas, panels, styles or text editing.
    • Chat with Starjay's own AI.
    • Change settings, SEO, forms, domains, the CMS or images.
    • Most dashboard pages. Analytics, Form responses, Subscriptions, Members and Settings show Open this on a computer.

    Pick a site

The phone dashboard lists your sites, most recently edited first. Tap a site to open it. Archived sites are listed but can't be opened. Tap New site to create one; it opens straight away.

At the top are the workspace picker, if you belong to more than one workspace, and Sign out. Invitations to other workspaces appear above the list.

    The review screen

    Part What it does
Top bar The back arrow returns to your sites. The Full screen button hides everything but the preview; tap the floating button to bring the controls back. The menu (☰) has Publish and Desktop editor.
Status While an AI is working, shows what it's doing and how many changes it has made so far. Tap the count to see the changes. If someone is editing on a computer, you see Someone is editing this site on a computer.
Preview Your site, read-only. Links work, so you can move between pages. It reloads when the AI finishes, when you change versions, and when you return to the app.
Controls Version stepping and Save / Reject.

Opening a site on your phone starts its editing environment, the same as on a computer, so it uses credits. See How credits work.

    Review an AI's work

    1. 01

Start the AI on your site

If no session is open, the controls say Start working with Claude, Codex, or your favorite agent. Tap MCP, then Copy, and paste the text into your AI app. It tells the AI which site to work on.

    2. 02

      Watch it work

The status line shows what the AI is doing. Version stepping and Save / Reject are locked until it finishes: Save and Reject are available when the AI finishes.

    3. 03

      Step through versions

Use the arrows to move between versions, or tap the version label (for example Version 2 of 3) to pick one from a list. Original is your site before the session. The preview shows the version you pick.

    4. 04

      Save or Reject

Tap Save to keep the session's changes. Tap Reject to discard all of them; confirm with Discard & reject. If the session made no changes, you see End session instead.

    Publish from your phone

    1. 01

      Save the session first

You can't publish while a session is open. The dialog says Save or reject the session to publish.

    2. 02

      Open Publish

Tap the menu (☰), then Publish. The dialog shows where the site goes live and a summary of what's changed since the last publish.

    3. 03

      Publish

Tap Publish (or Republish if the site is live). Progress shows on the button. When it's done, a message shows the live address with Open, and Live opens the site.

On a phone, the site publishes to wherever it already publishes. A first publish goes to its free Starjay address. To change addresses, connect domains or unpublish, use a computer. See Publish your site.

    Switch to the full editor

Tap the menu (☰) and select Desktop editor, or select Use desktop view at the bottom of the phone dashboard. Your phone remembers this choice. To go back to the phone screen, add ?shell=mobile to the end of the address and open it.
