Page transitions and navigation
How to choose whether pages swap without a full reload, and which animation plays between pages.
By default, moving between pages on your site doesn't reload the whole page: the new page swaps in, which feels faster. You can turn that off, and you can choose an animation for the swap.
- 01
Open the settings
Open the view menu at the top-left of the editor and choose Settings, then General.
- 02
Choose how pages load
Under Navigation, turn Client-Side Router on or off. On: Pages swap without full reload. Off: Standard browser navigation, where every link loads a fresh page.
- 03
Choose a transition
With Client-Side Router on, choose a Page Transition: None (swap without animation), Fade (cross-fade between pages) or Slide (slide left/right between pages).
- 04
Check it
Your choice saves straight away and works on the canvas from the next page you open. Switch to Browse mode on the canvas and click a link to see it.
- 05
Publish
Publish your site so visitors get the new behavior. See Publish your site.
The defaults are Client-Side Router on and Page Transition set to None.
Page Transition isn't shown while Client-Side Router is off, because a full page load can't animate between pages.
You can also ask the AI, for example: "Use a fade transition between pages."
