    What Starjay generates for you

Lists the search-related files and tags Starjay creates automatically when you publish.

When you publish, Starjay adds these to your site automatically. You don't need to create or maintain them, and there's nothing to set up.

What What it does Where it comes from
Sitemap A list of your pages that search engines read to find your content. Published at /sitemap-index.xml. Every published page that search engines are allowed to index. Pages hidden from search, draft pages and deleted pages are left out. Live CMS item pages are listed too.
robots.txt Instructions for crawlers, at /robots.txt. It points to your sitemap. Your search visibility setting.
Canonical address A tag on every page naming its one official address, so search engines don't treat copies at other addresses as duplicates. The address your site is published at, plus the page's path.
Title and description tags The page's title and description for search results. Page SEO, falling back to site defaults.
Social sharing tags The title, description and image used when a page is shared on social sites and in messaging apps. The same title and description, plus the page's or the site's Social Preview image.
Favicons and the Apple touch icon Browser and home-screen icons. Site SEO defaults.
Search engine verification tags Prove you own the site to Google and Bing. Verification codes.
Language Tells browsers and search engines your site's language. Language in site defaults.

    Canonical addresses

Canonical addresses are automatic. There's no per-page override and no way to type your own. If you switch which address serves your site (for example, from your Starjay address to your own domain), Starjay republishes so every canonical address uses the new one. See Choose which address serves your site.

    What isn't generated

    • RSS feeds aren't available.
    • Structured data (schema.org markup) isn't added automatically. You can ask the AI to add it. See Structured data.
